About Our Team
The Miami University Dance Team is a nationally competitive Division 1A dance team that serves a dual role on campus as a spirit organization and a competitive entity. The team is currently ranked among the top 5 teams in the United States within the National Dance Alliance (NDA). In addition to national recognition within the dance community, the team strives to maintain a reputation on Miami’s campus as a well-respected and competitive program responsible for igniting spirit and excitement among students and fans.

The Miami University Dance Team competes in the D1A Pom and Jazz categories at NDA Nationals.

The Miami University Dance Team is an official club sport. The team participates on the sidelines at football and basketball events, attends various campus-wide events, and competes in the D1A division at NDA Nationals every year.

The team practices are Mondays 8:30-10 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-10 pm, and Sundays 4-7 pm. *Please note practice times may be subject to change each year.

High school dance team experience is not required, though all members come from differing dance backgrounds at the competitive level.

All dancers with acceptance/attendance at Miami University are eligible to try out.
