Important Notes for Prospective MUDT Members

• Submitting a Common Recruiting Video initiates your recruitment process but does not guarantee advancement to later rounds

• This process is intended for high school seniors (Class of 2026) and college transfers or new Miami University applicants

• Team selection is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to:

  • Technical skill and performance quality

  • Coachability and teamwork

  • Enthusiasm, drive, and a passion for dance

  • Character and positive team culture fit

  • Prior connections with our program

  • Social media professionalism

Initial Steps for Interested Dancers

1. Reflect: Make sure a competitive collegiate dance team is the right fit for you - this experience requires time, dedication, and passion

2. Research: Explore Miami University’s academic programs, campus environment, and student life. Schedule a visit if possible!

3. Engage: Attend MUDT clinics, recruitment events. In-person exposure is invaluable.

4. Stay Connected: Follow us on social media (@miamidanceteam) for the latest team updates and event information

5. Prepare: Review our recruitment guidelines and start assembling your submission
